The GSS has begun. Town was so crowded. Even the mrt. I was sandwiched between two huge men as i was alighting at city hall.

Met up with dearie after i went out with my ayah and bros for some last minute shopping at TM. While walking, Nasz made me panic when he suddenly claimed that his back hurt really bad. I think he had a muscle spasm, thus he desperately need to go for a back massage. Found a shop at lucky plaza. Its at one of those shops where they offer foot reflexology. Not those mamasan ones ah..hehe Thank god it was nothing serious, just that he strained his back.

We resumed our shopping after that. Well, i did shop. Another item on my 'wants' list striked off. Was contemplating if i should get the handbag which i've been eyeing, but on second thought, the sale just wasnt gd enough yet. Maybe i'll reconsider when im back from my holidays.

I'm almost done with packing. Finally, im leaving on a jet plane tmr. Or rather, an aeroplane. Will be back on the 4th of June. So pls miss me while im away k :-)

Ok..gd news..I've officially graduated from NUS.

Alhamdulillah, i passed all my modules. I didnt do as well as last semester. No As this time around. Only Bs and one C+. Nevertheless, i'm happy.
.
I'm in the midst of ordering my graduation gown. I feel it's better to get the graduation related matters done before i leave for my holidays this sunday. Only then, i can ease my mind and truly enjoy my well-anticipated trip.

I did a few things today, but the highlight of today's event would be cleaning up my cupboard where i keep all my bags. I even found some bags which i 've forgotten of its existence..hehe Had to get rid of some bags cos they were either too old already or i have the feeling that i wont be using it anymore. Well that gives me the excuse to get new ones rite? I'm already eyeing some handbags that day when i went window shopping :-)

Yest was a quick trip back to nus cos my laptop buat hal.. Nasz called me to say that the 's' key refuse to work. He sounded so kanchiong already when i said, "ayoh b, u make my laptop merajuk" haha Lucky the car was available yest so i picked Nasz up from his place and headed to nus.. Asked him to tag along so that i can drive him to sch after that. I bet he's happy to be driven around yest since he's been bugging me to use the car if possible.

And tmr is the release of my examination results day. Seriously, I dont know what to expect unlike last semester, where i can smartly predict my grades. I just hope for the best cos i must admit that this semester was rather challenging. So just wait n see if i share the gd news with y'all tmr.Till then.

An old friend..
Today i met up with an old friend. An old friend whom i knew since my sec sch days. An old friend whom i was once very close to during our earlier days in nus. An old friend whom i gradually saw less of eversince she got attached. And an old friend who recently got married.
.
I'm not going to hide the fact that I do have my doubts about my friendship with her. I believe in the saying that people change, be it for the better or worse. However, as an adult, I shall not let differing life principles affect our years of friendship.
.
We managed to catch up with our lives just now. Started off with me going over to her house to look through her wedding album followed by a shopping session at town. Talked during our train ride to town, talked over lunch and while sipping away the latte at CB. Much thoughts and ideas were exchanged indeed.
.
If there's one word to describe this friend of mine, it would be materialistic. Of course, this word is very subjective. I believe this is a constructive critism, rather than a condemnation. Seriously, when i look at her and listen to all her future plannings, I asked myself whether she'll ever learn to be contented with her life.
.
Right now, things seem to fall perfectly into place for her. At 21, she already has a well-to-do husband who can very much support her financially. However, it was worrying when most of the things she talked about just now had to do with money. I cant possibly write all the things she mentioned here, so im just going to pick out a few.
.
She mentioned that even with a combined income of five thousand dollars with her husband, she's not sure if that is suffient enough to support her lifestyle and family. In my heart, i was like "what the hell? 5K per mth is not enough to live by?" She brought that up because i mention that i planned to get a car before getting married. Then she went on to say that its not cheap bla3. Of course i know that. But to me, that's like my personal goal in life. She said that i should just concentrate on saving up for marriage. So, i defended my stand by saying that i have other priorities in life at the moment other than marriage. Unlike her, im not getting married anytime soon nor would my parents be keen in marrying me off at this age. And the ultimate reason is of course, my bf is definitely not financially prepared for that long term commitment yet. Therefore, she cant expect everybody to adopt her way of thinking.
.
And then she asked me, "are u and nasz really serious?" Her question made me wonder where it was going to lead to. But i prefer to look at it positively rather than " ohh she's gonna make me think twice about settling down with nasz bcos of his lower edn level and salary as compared to mine when i start working". I'm glad i handled that question pretty well. I realised that when I'm with her, I cannot show her that I'm uncertain about my thoughts and future planning. Everything's got to be firm. For once, i was decisive and clear of what I want. Perhaps, having her around isnt a bad thing afterall :-)
.
In conclusion, I cherish the friendships I developed throughout my life. If not, I wouldnt have bothered meeting up with her after all 'those' things that happened in the course of our friendship. As a friend, I respect her life principles, though i don't agree with her saying that "marriage isn't all abt love". She has hers, and I have mine. So, let it stay as that.

As for me, eventhough i love to splurge, i see that as a way to pamper myself once in a while. I worked hard and saved up, thus im entitled to some
princess treatment..like just now. I finally bought my mac make-up set and i'm contented :-)

A rainy and gloomy sunday. At least for my area. No plans for the weekends, so the best way to enjoy is to just slack away and watch lots of tv. While i still have the luxury to do so.

Had relief for mendaki yest at a different centre. HTook on a pri 3 class, which was very 'hyper-active'. I momentarily lost my voice right after the class ended cos most of the time, i had to speak louder than usual. Furthermore with the warm weather n stuffy classroom, that doesnt make it any better.

Received a package yest in the mail. It's one of those padded envelope thingy. And it was meant for me! The overly sized and weird looking packages are always for me. No idea why. I thought I finally had a fan who worships me..haha But this is even better. Its from my friend, Non, who's currently studying in melbourne. What a pleasant surprise. She air-mailed my belated bday present together with some chocs. Well, also in the package were some other things for ita, kisha and ain, which i assumed she wants me to pass to them. Smart her, killing two birds with one stone. Nevertheless, im truly touched by her sweet gesture. At least, she remembered to get me something for my bday though she's miles away from me. Thanks non!

On fri was dinner with kisha n ain. Our dear ita could'nt join us cos she had a fall and hurt her legs real bad. So poor thing. Anw dinner was at pizza hut at siglap rd. One of the perks of having a car. We can go further than the usual tampines and go back a lil later too. Kisha drove that day where she initially wanted to bring us to eat tosai, but we settled for pizza hut in the end. The outlet has a very nice and cosy ambience. The food took up most of table space and of course, we felt like a pig after that. :-)
.
Went to east coast park after that to 'take some air'. Walked from our parking space to the mc donald's area. And as usual, we talked and laughed through the night. I think I only reached home close to midnight. A girls' night out indeed!

Yay! At last i ordered them online yest after browsing through the website countless times just to decide on which design to get.. In all, i ordered 7 pairs. Of coz not all 7 pairs are mine! At first, i dont understand the fuss over birkenstock..I read in apr's edition of cleo mag that "Birkies were seen on the feet of NUS students everywhere!" (of coz, they were doing some fashion comparison between the 3 Unis in singapore) Is it really as comfy as they claimed it to be? Only way to find out is to get one for myself of course.. Well in my case, i got two pairs :-)

Well, i finished the second james patterson book - Sam's letters to Jennifer. It's a great book but i prefer the first one though. Currently i'm reading Sophie Kinsella - the undomestic goddess. Going to finish up this one and maybe borrow more books from ain tomorrow :-)

Meeting up with the girls for dinner tomorrow. Kisha included this time around. Surprisingly, she's the one who proposed tmr's outing. She's having her first exam tmr too. So all the best, girlfriend!

Had a short date with dearie just now. Short but sweet indeed. I'm glad he's willing to squeeze in a little time to be with me despite of his hectic schedule. We managed to catch Da Vinci Code, one of the eagerly anticipated movie this year. I would say i prefer the book because it's more elaborate (duh!). Those who dont understand the movie should read the book. Since it is mainly on christianity and its history, there are certain parts which 'i catch no balls'..haha but worth watching though. After the movie, we had our late lunch before rushing to school. Not me, him.

And i finally told dearie what i want as a birthday present. Its one of the things on my wishlist :-)

i just finished reading two out of the four books which ain lend to me..'tuesdays with morrie' by mitch albom and 'suzanne's diary for nicholas' by james patterson.. the first one was pretty touching..allows u to view life in a different perspective and to view death as a natural course of life.. the one by james patterson touched me even more..i was almost in tears while reading abt the tragic death of the two characters, suzanne and her baby, nicky..another character matt was pictured as the perfect guy..a guy any girl would wish for..well at least for me though..hehe

im gonna start on another book also by james patterson called "sam's letters to jennifer" later on.. looks like im gonna get addicted to reading :-)

anw, i havent been writing much abt nasz on my blog nowadays..that's bcos i found out that some people get very "meluat" when they read blogs which contain words such as honey, dearie, baby, syg and other terms of endearment.. telling the whole world how great their bf/gf are, the perfect date they had..etc for instance they would say.."as though she's the only one with a bf.."

but hey, i realised i shld'nt be affected by such remarks eventho they werent directly aimed at me.. i must say i share my joys reading love blog entries..both by my friends and also total strangers.. i believe they have the right to be expressive abt how they feel abt their partners, especially if its a positive one.. its their blogs anw.

those who CHOOSE to remain low profile abt their relationship also shld not be so bothered abt other ppl's love blogs.. seriously, its ur choice whether to share ur love life with others.. which is why only close friends are aware of my blog.. others who happened to bloghop and stumble upon my blog, u're welcomed as long as u behave..wahaha

its amusing to see those who criticise these love blogs preferred to be known only as 'anonymous' or 'bloghopper' when they leave a tag.. what's wrong with coming clean abt themselves? or leave a link to their blogs so that others can find out more about them and what interest them?

so i tell myself..i'm very much in love and to be loved in return is one of the best gifts one could ever have.. thus, i do wish to share this special gift with all of you..

went out with dearie just now to look for my mum's gift..bought her a brooch in the end.. that was the last resort cos i dunno wat else to get her..but nvm la, since im sure she'll use it, there's nthg wrong with giving her dat as a present almost everytime..haha

oh yah, met up with ain n ita last fri for dinner at bugis.. yg lagi satu tu tgh bertapa..she dun want to be disturbed till her last exam paper..haha so left with the three of us..didnt walk much tho cos ita's legs were killing her.. but we talked n laughed alot as usual..its funny how dis one 'fella' who barely knows us can easily generate inconstructive critisms abt us.. who does he think he is? lawyer??magistrate?? wahaha

anw i dun haf anything much planned nxt wk.. mebbi shld call up charm to meet up..she just came back fr phuket..i bet she had fun there basking under the sun.. or, i can just rot at home n read the four books courtesy of ain.. im just at my first book now..almost finishing though :-)

new skin..changed my blogskin..chose the butterfly theme this time around.. contents of the blog remains the same though..pardon me for the wierd colour coordination of the fonts..i gave up experimenting with diff colours.. too lazy n tired to make any editing now..so for the time being, just bear with it ya..n the tagboard too..doesnt go with the new skin..hehe

something funny happened..but to me, more like selenger la..haha my elder bro went to JB the other day w his fiancee's family, so i pesan him to buy some dvds..cos i wanna be a couch potato! haha i think i already am now..
then he called me fr JB cos he was already at the dvd shop..he asked wat other dvd titles i wanna get..so i asked back what have he chosen so far..then he said, he's buying MI 3, when a stranger calls, da vinci code.. when he mentioned da vinci code, i said "eh, the dvd dah kluar? kat wayang blom start seh.." so yah, in the end, he bought abt seven dvds la
just now, i was already so semangat wanna watch da vinci code dvd..pressed the play button..the first part was a narration of that place in france as described in the book.. so ok, i watched that part..after the dvd ran for abt 3min, i wondered asal the narrator tak abis2 bebual ni..bile nak game seh, org nak watch the cerita.. then i looked at the dvd sleeve..the title reads 'origins of the DA VINCI CODE'. duh!! its a documentary show la..nt the movie..deng! told my bro abt it n he laughed his ass off..haha so the moral of the story is, jgn mudah terpedaya..must read even the small prints nxt time..haha he made me excited for nthg only.. dats y i said how can they have it in dvd format when its nt being screened in theatres yet? pe dah..
on another note, i've added a new section in my blog..its smth like a wish list la..it acts as a reference for those charitable ones who wish to splurge their money on me..wahaha nolah, my fren ita kept asking wat i wanted for my bday.. being me, i can never give a definite answer to dat..so from the list, she can choose and buy the one that suits her budget lor.. hopefully at least one the things is within her budget..wahaha
hmm..i wanna start reading..care to recommend me some gd books? im gonna finish watching all my dvd collections soon anw..so i mite as well start on a new hobby since i havent been reading, excluding my lect notes n readings la..hehe

while waiting for my tuition kid to come, i thot i'd do some updating :-)yest, i went to my cousin's solemnization ceremony at ROMM..its my first time going there n witnessing a solemnization done there.. after seeing the procedures, i told myself i dunt think i wanna be solemnized at ROMM when its my turn to get married.. hehe my god, i can feel the intense air surrounding the room.. i'll try my best to describe the place for those of u who havent been there yaok, in the room, slightly bigger than a tennis court, there's a pelamin on the stage at one end.. also on the stage, there's a table for the kadi..n facing the stage are seats for the guests.. the ceremony started off with reciting the al-fateha and other doa..after that, the kadi addressed both the pengantin with regards to their duties as husband and wife..this was done thru the microfone..n i tell u, the kadi really made it sound that marriage is a no play2 matter.. which is of course true..then he listed out the responsibilities of the husband towards the wife (vice-versa).. upon hearing all that, i told myself im nt ready for marriage anytime soon man..haha so sape2 yg tak tau ape2 n berangan nak kahwin tu, hmm u shld hear the kadi preach.. after all that, the groom was asked to sit in front of the kadi..if the normal procedure is both of them duduk bersila on the floor, at romm, they sit on the chairs..hehe then the kadi will say out the normal lafaz, which is followed by the groom..this too, was through the mic.. but to me, play cheat ah cos the groom read the lafaz fr a piece of paper.. so of coz, no mistakes or mispronounciation.. haha its fun rite, to see the guys tersasol during the lafaz, then they have to say it all over again..wahaha after that, the groom has to repeat after the kadi abt the dos and donts as a husband.. then the bride nye duty senang je, jus sign..hehewith the mandatory procedures completed, the ceremony ended off with some doa again and photo-taking session with the newly-weds.. to me, it was quite kelam-kabut cos after that, there's another pengantin who's waiting to be solemnized too.. at least, if the solemnization ceremony is done at hm, we can take our own sweet time to snap photos u see..nevertheless, wats impt is that the ceremony went well..i wish my cousin n her husband all the best in their marriage life.. she's only 1 yr older than me, mind u.. the husband is around 25 yrs old i think..so can be considered young couple la.. its ok to marry at a young age as long as the couples are ready to take on new roles..being able to adapt to marriage life is important to me.ok, i heard the doorbell which means my student reach already..so have a great weekend ppl.. those required to vote, dont forget to do so ;-)

my legs are aching!! haiz this is the effect of not exercising for a long, long time.. it was a walking and standing day for me just now..met dearie as early as 11.30am to go to town..he suggested that i come down to clementi, then we take a bus to town together..i hesitated at first but on second thought, i did as he said..the things i do for my loved one..hehe by right, i can just meet him at town.. nvm la, at least can spend quality time during the bus ride :-)well, he failed his tp..i can tell he was quite bingit the whole day of yest.. then i msg n kacau him "lucky i didnt meet u today (yest)..if nt, i pon kene marah dgn u.." cos he was so angry at the tester n his driving instructor..his driving instructor missed out on some things like stopping at the pedestrian crossing eventho when there's no cars..dat itself caused him 10 demerit points.. i mean for experienced drivers like me (like real only..haha), its common sense if there's no one crossing at the zebra crossing, we dun bother to stop the vehicle behind the line.. if got any drivers who bother to stop, i salute ah..haha but confirm kene horn punye if got other vehicles behind.. wahaha but i told him its ok..can try again next time.. then i said "now u noe its nt as easy as it seems ah.." he just smiled.ok..a bit of diagression there..anw we had our quick lunch at far east first before heading to cineleisure..we sorta like underestimated the distance betw the two places..i only realised they were quite a distance once i reached cineleisure..by then, my legs, especially the calves were achingthank god, i got to relax for abt 2 hrs while watching the movie..we caught MI 3..it was great, plus the sound effects were superb! tom cruise is still as hunky as ever..n the guy who acted in bend it like beckham also starred in MI 3..so yah, watch it if u have the chanceafter the movie, we walked and shopped for a while..left abt 5 plus since dearie had to rush to sch.. a long day for him today..met me in the morning, sch in the evening n work after that.. heheas for me, i headed to TM to meet my cousin who wanna sign up for a mobile fone plan.. he needs my signature for that since the line is under my name..for that, we queued up for almost half an hr..haiz at home then i can really feel the strain on my legs.. i need a massage!! haha i say2 only, padahal im nt into all those massage thingy cos i get tickled easily..wahha so no foot reflexology for me.. no matter how dearie tried to convince me that its gd, i doubt i wanna try it out..hehe well i better get going now..shall lepak on my bed n watch tv..gd nite!

may day..the may day holiday is almost coming to an end..but nt a big deal for me since im neither working nor going to sch tmr..wahahadidnt do much today either..just slack at hm n watch tv the whole day.. lepak seh! tmr is dearie's tp test..hopefully he'll pass at one take la..if i can do it, so can he or anybody else..haha just suck up to the tester aje..n dun piss him off..insyaallah, can pass.. if he pass also, nxt time i dun need to be his chauffer.. then he'll know how distracting it is to have someone talking n asking you how the cd player in the car works while u're driving!! :-) looking forward to hear the gd news fr him tmr after the testwill be meeting him on wed before he goes to sch in the evening.. nowadays, we try to make use of every little time we have for each other..its all bout making sacrifices..remember that b! hehe after sch, he needs to rush off to work some more.. this weekend, he's going on a short trip to kl with his frens.. i definitely think he deserves the short break after working so hard..so enjoy n behave urself there dear..dun forget to buy me some oleh2 fr kl yah..i did a selfish act today..haiz it was a spur of the moment thingy and i only think abt myself.. how i wished i did the otherwise.
